In 2006 the UK Ministry of Defense awarded the Allenby/ Connaught PFI contract to Aspire Defense Ltd, a consortium of Carillion, KBR & HSBC. £8Bn is being invested in buildings & services; delivering & maintaining living, working, technical and recreational accommodation for more than 20% of the UK Army. Affinitext was identified by the Ministry & Aspire as the only real way to extract information and manage the risks embedded in the thousands of pages of contract documents.
284 contracts, 11,500 pages, hundreds of stakeholders, regular personnel changes, and a project life of over 25 years. Managing a project of this scale was always going to be daunting. The UK’s Ministry of Defense Project Allenby/Connaught is meeting these challenges head on. Recognising the contract management challenges of the project, the Ministry of Defense selected Affinitext to enable easy extraction of information and management of risks embedded in the extensive project documentation. Affinitext satisfied the MOD’s demanding functional and security requirements.
