PPP is the centerpiece of
SA Health’s
$1.7 billion health system
Opening in 2016, the new Royal Adelaide Hospital will become the cornerstone of South Australia’s Health Care Plan and the largest hospital in South Australia. A private sector partner will design, finance, build and maintain the facilities. Clinical services will be delivered by the public sector. The new hospital is the centerpiece of the State’s healthcare plans for the decade ahead. It will have more than 80 000 same day and overnight admissions per year, 800 beds (including 100 same-day), an ambulatory care center, operating theatre suite, all clinical and non-clinical support services necessary for the provision of high quality and safe patient care, and an excellent facility for teaching and research. SA Health turned to the Affinitext major projects procurement solution to assist the bid process for this critical Public Private Partnership (PPP) and is now planning to use Affinitext into the next phase of the project.
